Discharged from hospital, Connor has second thoughts about being a bodyguard. The job is simply too risky. But Colonel Black thinks all Connor needs is a holiday and has the perfect assignment – three weeks accompanying a British diplomatic family on safari in Gabon, Africa.

With no specific threat identified, it should be just the ticket for Connor’s rest and recuperation. But when the country’s government is toppled in a surprise military coup, Connor and his assigned family find themselves in the middle of a civil war.

Ambushed by gunmen, their safari convoy is attacked and the family taken hostage. In the ensuing panic Connor manages to escape with the diplomat’s daughter, Amber, and her little brother, Josh. Fleeing through the bush, they become the prey in a shoot-to-kill hunt across the African plains.

As they fight for their survival, Connor realizes the gunmen are the least of their problems. Lions, snakes and elephants prove just as dangerous as an AK-47.

But no amount of bodyguard training can prepare Connor for the wilds of Africa and one prowling hungry leopard…
