Returns & Refunds Policy

At Ever After Books, we are committed to providing our customers with quality products and service. We understand that sometimes purchases may not meet your expectations or you may have changed your mind. In these cases, please find our returns policy below.

In-Person Purchases:

  1. Faulty or Misdescribed Products:

    • If you purchase a product in-store that is faulty or misdescribed, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair, provided you return the product within 30 days of purchase with proof of purchase.
  2. Change of Mind:

    • Should you change your mind about a product purchased in-store, you may return it within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided it is in its original, unopened, and unused condition with proof of purchase. Beyond the initial 14 days and up to 30 days from the date of purchase, you may exchange the product for store credit, under the same conditions.

Online Purchases:

  1. Faulty or Misdescribed Products:

    • If you purchase a product online that is faulty or misdescribed, you are entitled to a refund or replacement provided you notify us within 30 days of receiving the product, along with proof of purchase.
  2. Change of Mind:

    • Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you change your mind about a product purchased online, you have the legal right to a refund provided you notify us within 14 days from the day you receive the product. The product must be returned in its original, unopened, and unused condition. Beyond the initial 14 days and up to 30 days from the date of receipt, you may exchange the product for store credit, under the same conditions.

Exclusions:

  1. Personalised and Print on Demand Products:
    • Personalised items, including personalised books, and print on demand products are non-refundable unless faulty or misdescribed.

Condition of Returned Items:

  • All returns must be in their original, unused, and resalable condition, with all original packaging and accessories included. Any items returned in a condition other than new may be subject to partial refunds or denial of refund/exchange, at the discretion of [Your Bookshop's Name].

Second-Hand Books:

  • All sales of second-hand books are final and are not eligible for refunds or exchanges, except in the case of faulty or misdescribed items, in which case the usual return procedures apply.

Unsatisfactory Condition Returns:

  • If a returned item is found to be in an unsatisfactory condition, the customer will be notified and the item will be returned to them at the customer's expense. The customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

Return Process:

  1. Notification:

    • Please notify us of your intention to return a product by contacting our customer service team at [customer service email/phone number].
  2. Returning Products:

    • For in-store returns, please bring the product along with proof of purchase to our store during business hours.
    • For online returns, please ship the product back to us at [Your Bookshop's Address]. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product is faulty or misdescribed.

    • Refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 5 business days of receiving the returned product.

Refund Policy for Editing Services and Writer Workshops

At Ever After Books, we love books and we strive to offer exceptional editing services and engaging writer workshops to our clients to help them create books others will love too. We understand the importance of clear policies to ensure a smooth experience for both our clients and our team. Below are our refund policies for our editing services and writer workshops:

Editing Services:

  1. Payment:

    • Full payment is required in advance to secure your booking for our editing services.

  2. Cancellations:

    • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled service start date will receive a full refund.
    • Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled service start date will receive a full refund minus a £25 administrative fee.
    • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made on the scheduled service start date or after the service has been provided.

  3. Quality Assurance:

    • If you believe our editing services have not been provided with reasonable care and skill, please contact us immediately. We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction and will work with you to rectify any issues or provide a partial refund as deemed appropriate.

Writer Workshops:

  1. Payment:
    • Full payment is required in advance to secure your booking for our writer workshops.
  2. Cancellations:
    • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled workshop date will receive a full refund.
    • Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled workshop date will receive a full refund minus a £25 administrative fee.
    • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled workshop date or if you fail to attend the workshop.

General Terms:
