Frida The Biography Of Frida Kahlo

Originally published in 1983, Hayden Herrera's portrait of Frida Kahlo is the definitive biography of the tempestuous and original Mexican artist. Married to Diego Rivera and deeply involved in Mexican politics, she also had affairs with such diverse historical figures as Isamu Noguchi and Leon Trotsky. Her paintings, often autobiographical, have reached a wider audience through exhibitions over the last 20 years.

Frida is both the basis for the new Miramax film and the primary source people will turn to for all the information on this dynamic figure of the 20th century.
