June Reading Notes
I’m keeping things brief today because as I write this, it’s July 1 and a heat wave is descending. I’ve apparently become a full Mainer because anything over 78 degrees and dry feels absolutely too hot.
June was so full of good things, and I still managed to fit in a decent amount of reading, which I’m quite proud of. I leaned into my mood and ruthlessly put down books that weren’t grabbing my attention, which helped me choose reading as a reset activity amid the busy weeks.
July is looking a lot quieter, which I’m really looking forward to. I’m photographing a wedding this weekend, but then I have the rest of my July weekends free, and we have no plans to travel too far. So I’ve got very few plans other than swimming in the lake at least once, having a proper beach day, embracing full summer energy, and logging off my computer early whenever possible.
So, read on for:
A few fun New England summer books
A fantastic book club book
A literary romance that is likely going to be in my top books of the year
Now, onto the books…
